  • Compostable Packaging

Instead of virgin plastic or multi-layered and unrecyclable plastic coming to your door, we teamed up with Hero Packaging to provide you with a compostable material that can be used in your garden or a local farm in 120 days (per source). To learn more about their product, check out the link below:

  • Printing on Demand

One sustainable approach in the clothing industry is to print on demand rather than buying material in bulk. This lessens the waste by purchasing by needs only, rather than having ‘eyes bigger than our stomach’. If you have questions on this approach, reach out to Elite Apparel using the link below:

  • Current Materials Used

Ecolite Apparel decided to boycott all virgin plastic materials in their clothing materials. We are first implementing virgin, organically grown cotton from the USA. We also are invested in RPET materials that utilizes 50% recycled PET and 50% organically farmed cotton. Contact Elite Apparel for more information regarding there suppliers using the link below:

Ecolite Sustainability (Future Plans)

  • Circular Model (Repair/Refurbish)

Elite Apparel would like to implement a circular approach to make this clothing line much more sustainable. We would like to model this just like Patagonia’s Worn Wear. You can return your clothes to us, we refurbish and sell at a lower price and give a discount on your next purchase for doing the right thing! Win win for everyone!

  • 100% Recycled Cotton Material

Let’s face it. Organic farming in the cotton industry still is derived on old tactics of land use and water use. But is more sustainable than inorganic pesticides, herbicides, etc. To make Ecolite even more sustainable, we would like to work with 100% recycled cotton clothing suppliers. This takes cotton from recycled products and turn them into clothing!

  • Bamboo Material

Bamboo is a much more sustainable material than cotton. Biggest reason is water usage per square acre. Ecolite would like to implement one/some of the product’s material as bamboo to attract people away from virgin cotton/plastics, and more towards a sustainable virgin material that’s better for our Earth! Learn more about Bamboo fabric below:

  • Sustainable Suggestions??

Ecolite Apparel and Everything STEAM are always looking for suggestions. Whether that is about a design/article you would like to see next, or how we plan to do our packaging, material, etc! Send us your inquiry using the link below:
