Synopsis

There is so much science behind beer, and the brew process is so interesting! People all over the world for centuries have been working on perfecting and expanding the brewing process to bring you the right beer for your palate! We were lucky to get my former Professor of Engineering a Craft Brewery and tenure Chemical Engineering professor, Dr. Bob Parker from the University of Pittsburgh as well as head Brewmaster Lauren Hughes of Necromancer Brewing here in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

This episode is packed full of brewing and beer information! We plan to cover the pillars of the brewing process, along with the characteristics of beers you may encounter.

Lauren Hughes

Lauren is the Head Brewer at Necromancer Brewing in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Previously she was the Assistant Head Brewer at Penn Brewery and Assistant Brewer at Rock Bottom Brewery! Her Education involves;

Dr. Robert Parker

Dr. Parker is the Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Robert v.d. Luft Professor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
